Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez if finally gone. A close friend of the President who did the President and the nation no favors. At a time when the White House needed people to follow the rules he did not. The political firing of U.S. Attorneys, lying to congress, illegal wiretaps you name it and old Al has done it. I am no fan of George W. Bush and I actually voted for Kerry ( mmm that should be a bumper sticker) but this man gave the President problems on the domestic front neither he or we needed. How about that torture memo, and did I mention the depravation of basic privacy contained in the Patriot Act. All we as citizens of this great nation ask is how soon can this unskilled lawyer get out. Today is not to soon enough for Democracy and I would guess the President also.
